This autumn if you are looking for someone furry to warm the cockles of yourheart, look no further. Animal Welfare League NSW is all set to unveil itsnext adoption drive.
Calling out to all dog lovers of the land, AWL NSW will be running specialpromotional offers on all canine companions at its Kemps Creek shelter.
The Barking Mad adoption drive will have all dogs above the age of sevenmonths available to adopt at less than half-price. This special offer will runfrom April 1 to April 30, 2021.
The cultural shift prompted by COVID-19 lockdowns across the country saw asignificant rise in the number of adoptions of shelter pets. This financialyear AWL NSW has had more than 1030 animals find their forever homes.
AWL NSW CEO Mark Slater says, “We would like to invite people on a journey ofbringing home a shelter animal. Post COVID-19, we have seen a spike in thenumber of people wanting to adopt more rescue pets. We have had a really goodyear with adoptions, and we would now like to pay it forward by offering areduced rate on the dogs at our facility.”
He is also encouraging members of the public to share the word with friendsand family. “Amazing stories start in shelters and rescues. Please inspirepeople to begin theirs,” he adds.
All AWL NSW pets come desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and wormtreated, and health checked. Conditions and standard adoption criteria apply.
