Sydney Dogs and Cats Home, the city’s only charity pound, is calling ondonations from the community towards their kitten care fund.
The warmer weather has caused an increase in breeding and therefore an influxof kittens through their doors, some with a range of health issues, such asringworm, cat flu, and parasites, while others need round-the-clock care.
Melissa Penn, General Manager at Sydney Dogs and Cats Home, said the influxmeans that a lot of resources are required to ensure they are given thetreatment and care need so they can find their forever homes.
“Without the Kitten Kitty, we would not be able to treat as many kittens as wehave been able to in the past. We hope we are able to continue this for themonths ahead. We need urgent help to top up our Kitten Kitty and are askingfor help from any animal lover in our community!”
To assist in their fundraising, the team at Sydney Dogs and Cats Home arehosting a virtual trivia night in pairtnership with Trivia Master Australia asa fun way to raise much needed funds.
The virtual trivia night, which will take place on Friday 1 April from 7pm,will include kitten guests, prizes, and special appearances from Sydney Dogsand Cats Home ambassadors.
Tickets for the trivia night are $25 and go directly into the Kitten Kitty.
