For 24 hours, any donation made to RSPCA NSW will be doubled in an effort tofind loving homes for as many neglected, homeless and abused animals aspossible.
RSPCA’s Give to Get Them Home appeal will see donations made on Thursday 3October matched by corporate and individual leadership supporters.
It’s an incredible one-day opportunity for animal lovers to have a large-scaleimpact on the 123,000 animals the shelters care for each year.
RSPCA NSW CEO Steve Coleman said the appeal means every supporter will havethe opportunity to make their contribution work harder for animals in need ofcare and protection.
“Last year the RSPCA received over 71,346 reports of animal crueltynationally. Give to Get Them Home empowers the public to make a significantimpact on the lives of vulnerable animals,” said Steve Coleman.
“RSPCA NSW relies on the generosity of our supporters to continue to helpdesperate animals when they need us the most. If you’ve ever thought aboutdonating to the RSPCA – now’s the time to do it.”
On average it costs the RSPCA $1,000 to rescue, care for and find an animal ahome. Money raised will go directly to help homeless, neglected and abusedanimals in the community and support RSPCA NSW’s animal welfare advocacy andeducation work.
During the event one $50 donation will be doubled to $100, meaning onedonation can provide a rescued dog with a safe bed, shelter and care.
Give to Get Them Home will be held on Thursday, 3 October, the eve of WorldAnimal Day.
Participants can donate online at www.charidy/rspcansw or via telephone on(02) 9782 4400.
