The next Animal Welfare Seminar is “FELINE FUTURES: Exploring HumaneDomestic Cat Management in Australia” and will be held on Thursday 18 andFriday 19 February 2021 (Two half days – afternoons only). Given theexceptional circumstances of 2020 and the continued uncertainty into 2021, thedecision has been made to hold the seminar online.

In 2021, we will be exploring the future of humane domestic cat management inAustralia.

Widespread humane and effective management of owned, unowned and semi-ownedcats remains elusive, despite significant effort and investment of resourcesby some stakeholders to address the issue.

Are stricter laws the best solution or can we do more collectively throughbetter communication and collaboration?

RSPCA’s Animal Welfare Seminar 2021 will bring together diverse stakeholdersfrom government, industry, animal welfare, academia, cat owners/carers and thewider community to share knowledge and experiences to identify key challengesand opportunities to achieve more humane management of domestic cats.
