Iconic superpremium ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s introduced Doggie Delightsice cream for dogs. The ice cream for dogs comes in two flavors, Pontch’s Mixand Rosie’s Batch, sold as individual cups or four-packs. Pontch’s Mix isflavored with peanut butter and pretzel swirls. Pumpkin and mini-swirls flavorRosie’s Batch. Retailers may stock Doggie Delights with Ben & Jerry’s regularselections or with other frozen pet treats.
Doggie Delights were made with a minimum of dairy ingredients, according tothe company’s website. Instead, sunflower oil was used in place of milk orcream. Ben & Jerry’s ice creams for dogs are made from water, sugar, coconutoil, corn syrup, peanuts, sunflower seed paste, canola oil, wheat flour, cornstarch, peanut oil, pea protein, salt, lecithin, butteroil, guar gum, locustbean gum, soybean oil, citric acid, sodium bicarbonate and barley malt.
Ben & Jerry’s website launched a FAQ about Doggie Delights. The FAQ addressesquestions of lactose intolerance, safety and other issues.

Pet Specialties offers Cool Claws, an ice cream-style treat for cats. Thecompany calls the product a healthy frozen indulgence for cats, and notes thatit’s available regionally in grocers’ frozen food aisles.
Nature’s Variety SweetSpots
Nature’s Variety has a line of all-natural ice cream dog treats calledSweetSpots. The treats are 98% lactose-free, fortified with whey protein andenriched with live active yogurt cultures to aid in digestive health,according to the company.
